buy this book for your acquaintance with “drones”.

I bought this after reading the Dummies Guide Drones. This is the book I would have bought it first. This is also the reason why I prefer to see a book and thumb through pages before making a purchase. This makes book had significantly more, even if it is thinner and smaller than the Dummies Guide.

For the first time quadcopter or drone operators, this is a great book. A large part of it comes to building your own, and you’ll end up with a higher quality product than buying an entry level, ready to fly model. Many photos and brief explanations are very helpful. This book is a little bigger than a paperback novel, but fits due more bookcases to this.

Buy this book for a good overview of drones, and an informative guide on how to start.

This is a great book; I am new to drones, some budget Ready to Fly models and plan to move to a model kit with auto pilot, GPS, etc .. Bought This book takes the mystery out of all the major components and accessories for a done with autopilot, GPS and radio telemetry. It also has some introductory information on videos and links to additional information. It’s about putting together a specific quadcopter drone kit with each chapter in which the installation of a specific part (frame, power board, electronic snelheidsregeling, motors, receiver, flight controller, etc ..) each assembly step is preceded by detailed background information on the ground, and the selection of the component. Just packed with information presented clearly and understandably.

What this book is not a tutorial on how to make your drone, many of flying. It is an excellent tutorial and reference book.

This is a well written, concise and organized introduction to the technology and basic construction drone. , January 1, 2016

target of the book page vii is to provide the reader with basic knowledge of aerial robotics. the authors do an excellent job of describing the history of the drones and airplanes, as well as providing a clear description of the systems and avionics of these devices. Interwoven in this is an eloquent description, and clear photo documentation of the construction of a base quadcopter. this is a good book and one that I can use as a reference when I decide to build a drone. While I rate this book 5 * and very good, I found myself wanting more in “Chapter 4) Flight Controllers” on computer vision and reading aboard the processing of visual data in real time. There are a number of pre-packaged devices on the market (for example, the Parrot AR.Drone) proved to be a high level of sophistication. NASA and universities have these specific units in their exploration of the autonomous aerial robots. Builders of homemade devices able to incorporate some of these skills in their drones, as well as possibly expand on these opportunities.

Excellent introduction to multicopters. Well organized and clearly written. Covers just about everything for the beginner, while providing tips and tricks for building a stable craft. Covers all current flight controllers, with their advantages and disadvantages.

This is probably the best book I have seen so far. There has just been published, so it is very up to date.
