A bit on the basic side, but great for those starting to look SAA every application and even doing better if you research and sometimes get lost in the new surveillance technologies and data link capabilities because it makes you focus on the fundamentals. Would love more pathfinding algorithm details, but otherwise great read. . great addition to Cooperative path Planning of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles by Tsourdos, White and Shanmugavel which extend pathfinding algorithms and multiple intruders in the surveillance range of ownship.

detailed discussion of the subject. Book is a good primer on sense and avoid. It focuses on concepts, requirements, current and expected opportunities and developments in the field. After purchasing the physical book, I decided to also purchase the Kindle version so I can have as a ready reference.
