Beta65x HD Tiny Whoop Quadcopter

The Beta65x HD Tiny Whoop is a little quad that has an HD camera and records HD footage onboard 1080p at 60 frames a second, and that is pretty amazing. This tiny whoop with a unique lightweight camera is the smallest HD drone in production.

Beta65x HD Quadcopter

This quadcopter looks a lot like a tiny whoop but it flies differently than the tiny whoops you are used to. It is not quite as quick and nimble as most whoops, but it was not built for that so it is understandable.

If you use two 300 mah lipo batteries it will help you to achieve 2S power. The added lipo batteries use the recent BT2.0 connector. It is more effective than the regular PH2.0 connector, but you will have to change your tiny whoop batteries or to get some new ones.

It is cool that it has a microphone on it, it is not gonna be super helpful, but you can find a use for it. The Beta65x HD is a fun little machine that weighs 30 grams without the batteries and the size of it is 65 millimeters.

What Is Beta65x HD?

If you want to buy the Beta65x HD then you have to know and understand what it is. It is not a tiny whoop, but a tiny cinewhoop. I know that it might sound confusing, that’s why I will make it clear.

The Beta65x HD does not fly like a Meteor65 or like a Mobula 7, it flies more like a tiny Veyron. It needs more direct inputs and corrections because it seems to float. If you want to catch high-quality HD footage you will need to practice and give some time for exercise with this little drone.

The camera has a more narrowed field of view than the typical FPV camera. If you prefer a wider field of view, you will be a bit disappointed. This is normally a compromise of a split camera like this one.

The HD footage may not be GoPro quality, yet it is remarkable for a small quadcopter like Beta65X HD. Be aware that you will have to provide your own SD card because it records onboard.

Flying the Quad

A new era of whoop drones has started with the Beta65X HD. A great improvement has been done in power, so now you can fly it just like flying a larger quad and it is still tiny enough, protected enough, and silent enough to fly anywhere.

Everyone can fly the Beta65X drone like a racing expert with the help of the great performance processor, FC boards and tuned Betaflight Ominibus 3.5.0 firmware. A total weight of 30 grams gives pilots a nice balance of weight and a smoother flying experience. There is no soldering or tinkering necessary because it is a whole drone.

Specifications

  • The motors of the quad are customed, lightest 0802 17500KV brushless motors with cable connectors added, so just plug and play. The pilots can also use their whoop batteries.
  • Beta65x HD have Gemfan 31mm 3-blades propellers, 1.0mm shaft hole
  • The model comes with Betafpv Nano HD Camera, a good working camera
  • It has multiple receiver options, which are Frsky XM, FullSpeed DSMX, Futaba S-FHSS, and Flysky
  • The power of this tiny quad is provided by its 260mAh 1S Lipo HV batteries

About the Camera & VTX

The Betafpv Nano HD Camera is the lightest HD camera in the world. It can take 1080p and 170-degree wide field of vision and it gives you a fairly clear image in every moment while you will fly it.

The quadcopter is set up with the M01 V2 5.8G VTX, a compact 25 MW version that features 6 bands and 37 channels on the 5.8GHz band with Raceband.

The Motors

Beta65x HD cames with Betafpv 0802 14000kv brushless motors that are using ball bearing instead of brass bushings, and PCB connector and they push 3-blade 31 mm Gemfan props. Once they are disconnected it is easier to repair them and they are more durable.

Flight Controller

The flight controller of the Beta65X HD is an AIO F4. This F4 AIO 2S FC is perfect for a lighter 1-2S whoop drone like Beta65X, Beta65 Pro 2 or Beta75 Pro 2 and so on. It is integrated with Betaflight OSD, 1-2S 5A ESC, SPI Frsky receiver and a Betaflight F411 processor. Because of this, the Beta65X HD drone can save much weight for a faster fly experience.

Frame

The Beta65X HD has the same 65 mm frame as the well-known Meteor 65. The lightest and lower profile frame of Meteor65 is decreased 0.75g to 3.14g only at the Beta65x model. You will land on the motor screws instead of the battery because the battery slot is closer to the center of gravity and this is giving you a smoother flying experience.

The resistant and light frame can be customed for the Beta65X HD. For colorful frames, there are many options such as Beta-blue, mint-green, sakura-pink and mango-orange.

BT2.0 Connector

BETAFPV exclusive design, BT2.0 connector has won over the PH2.0 connector. The added connector of the quad is lowering internal resistance efficiently permitting more current to be transferred, so it gives 9A continuous current to the Beta65X HD drone.

In other words it has bigger power and extended flight time on 1S brushless drones while PH2.0 just supports 4.5A. Due to reducing voltage sag you can enjoy your long flight time without being disturbed by the low voltage warning.

Buying the Beta65x HD?

This is the best option if you want to record HD footage and if you are looking for super speed and nimble tiny whoop. In my opinion this quadcopter is good for capturing footage flying through tiny gaps and is well suited for slow cinewhoop style flights. One thing is sure, there is not other smaller HD FPV quad than this one.
