The CX 35 is a classic drone that comes for a small price. For just $135.99 you’ll get a quad that is ready to fly right out of the box. The Cheerson company became famous thanks to the successful CX-20 model. Another good product of Cheerson was the CX-10 mini-quad. In this Cheerson CX-35 FPV quadcopter review I’ll explain how this drone is just as good as its predecessors.
CX-35 is a drone mainly made for video-recording, or you can think of it like a cheap drone from Phantom’s class.
Features
The CX-35 has many features that helps it to be noticed right from the first view. Some of them are Altitude Hold, Low Battery Auto-land, One Button Return, Colorful Lights and a button for 360° flips.
In case you don’t already know, the altitude function makes the drone hover in place. Also, the Low Battery Auto-land function is something to look for these days. This feature makes the drone land safely when the battery is running low. This is a great function for beginners. Moreover, another beginner-friendly mode is the One Button Return. By pressing a single button, CX-35 will find its way back to the pilot. To these friendly-new pilot features adds the propeller guards. These shields can be easily added next to the engine for safety reasons. Their only down side is that it will lower the flight time by a minute.
The LED lights are simply to see the orientation of the drone in the dark. Lastly, the 360° function makes the drone to do a flip by pressing just a button.
Battery, Camera and Controller
CX 35 uses a strong 7.4V 1300mAh Lipo battery. However, because of its heavy weight (466 grams), it can fly for only 6 minutes.
The 2MP camera offers good quality images in both footage and live video. Moreover, it has a Mini SD slot in the back. The camera has a 45° angle that can be adjusted through the controller. Moreover, it has a 2.5 hours recording time.
On the other hand, the bad news is represented by the range of the controller. The RC is a 2.4GHz, 4 channels with a built-in FPV screen. So far so good, but the range is only 100 meters.
