The XKJ K60 PRO Foldable Brushless RC Quadcopter is an amazing quadcopter with a brushless engine and a 6K main camera, and a 1080p secondary camera. The drone is outfitted with a few keen highlights and a huge battery. The drone’s four brushless engine makes it superbly impervious to wind. The drone accompanies a few shrewd highlights and GPS innovation. XKJ K60 PRO accompanies the brilliant follow include, In which the quadcopter will follow you and catch your activities from a higher place.

XKJ K60 PRO has some pretty cool features like smart return and headless mode. The one key smart return function is an anti-flyaway mode. Additionally, the GPS technology in the drone allows it to fly very accurately.

Design and build

The best thing about this drone is the fact that it’s a foldable drone. Having a foldable drone has great benefits, especially with the storage bag included. This makes it available to transport the drone anywhere. So after you bought the drone it can keep you company on your next hiking or trip. The drone measures only 249g (with the battery), which is just under the 250g which is the point where you have to register it to the FAA. But to be sure you’re not violating any of the rules contact the local authorities so you won’t get into any trouble.

Another great thing about the drone is the fact that it has some LED light on the front. Whit that you take photos and videos in the dark. The footage won’t be the best, because it’s not a reflector or something super strong, but it’s still a great thing to have on your drone. Besides this, the drone has brushless motors, which are better than brushed motors. They are quite powerful and that will last long.

Battery

The drone comes with a 7.4V 2200mah battery, that has to be inserted in the back of the drone. The battery can give you around 30 minutes of flight time just like the DJI Mavic Mini 2, but in some criteria, like if you fly it at the highest speed and the wind is strong outside the drone might require more power than the usual, so the total flight time will be reduced with 3-4 minutes. The battery is a modular one, so it’s easy and safe to remove and insert the battery.

Controller

The controller is another interesting piece of equipment that is provided with the drone. The controller is also foldable, like the drone itself. When you unfold the drone a screen will appear and you will have a place to hold your phone. The maximum range of the remote controller is 1200 meters. The controller’s LCD screen includes telemetry information of signal strength, GPS status, drone/controller battery power, drone height, and drone distance.

On the surface of the controller, there are 6 buttons and two joysticks. However, the buttons are enabled with small icons, so you can learn easily the purpose of each.

Camera

As we said in the introduction the drone has two cameras. The main one is a 6K one and the secondary is a 1080p one. However, the onboard camera records 1080p video to your phone at 25 fps. Still, photos are recorded at up to 6144 x 3456 pixel interpolated (electronically enlarged) resolution.  The camera lens can be remotely tilted up or down remotely with the controller. But in order to record the files on your phone, you’ll need the app made by the provider. The app is called”HF GPS” and it’s available on Google Play or the App Store. After you download the app, you’ll be able to see the FPV of the video as well.

The app requires the use of a phone with 802.11ac WiFi. Before purchasing, use Google to verify that your phone does indeed have 802.11ac WiFi (not everybody has such on their phone). Also, unfortunately, no SD card recording is available. Therefore, make sure that you’re always within the range, so your footage won’t get glitchy.

Flight features

Besides the good build and awesome camera, the drone has some automated flight features as well. One of them is the  GPS with automatic hovering. With a button, you can also enable an automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low voltage.

The HF GPS had some bugs. For example,  It crashed three times during the flight.  Additionally, the advanced flight features of following me, orbit position, and waypoints did not seem to work when flown with the controller.

Conclusion

The drone is a great deal for the money that you can get it. It features a 4K camera, and automated flight features. With these qualities, the drone would be an ideal choice for professional photographers and videomakers, but the fact that it doesn’t have an SD card slot makes it unusable for professionals. But for beginners and hobby fliers it can be much easier that your footage comes right on your phone, instead of connecting to a pc and transferring them. With all that, my verdict is that to buy the drone only if you’re a beginner or a hobby drone flier/photographer.

If you want to buy the XKJ K60 PRO Foldable Brushless RC Quadcopter you can do it on Banggood.
