Eachine Aurora 90 Mini FPV Racing Quadcopter

Eachine is a real professional when we talk about small quadcopters. They sell small drones in all shapes and sizes. For example, they have the Tyro69 which is a unique drone with an original raw design, the Eachine E016H which is a bit different and has a modern look, and many others. My point is that Eachine is the perfect brand for drone lovers. They give you the chance to own all different drones. And all of them work just great and you’ll enjoy each of them. Today I’ll show another great and unique drone, the Aurora 90, from the Eachine of course. This quadcopter is one the fastest one out there and has a really good design. But if you seek to know more about this little aircraft, stay with us in this Eachine Aurora 90 Mini FPV Racing Quadcopter review.

What’s in the box?

  •  Eachine Aurora 90 (with a 2S 450mAh LiPo with JST connector)
  • Charger Emax B3pro
  • 4 x Spare props (2 CW, 2 CCW)
  • 1 x Screwdriver
  • 1 x Allen key
  • 1 x Velcro band
  • 1 x Instruction manual

The instruction manual is just great and tells you absolutely everything about the parts of the drone that you have to know. So if there’s any part you might not understand in this review, with the manual you’ll have the opportunity to clear up the things and to understand how that drone really works.

Design

The drone has a sporty look, with a detailed and massive build. The 90mm aircraft has a full cover 3K carbon base, therefore it’s not that flexible but won’t break that soon. The base carbon structure is 1.5mm large, while the carbon prop guard is the only 1mm. On the back, there are LEDs as well which informs you about the current status of the drone. All the color codes you can find in the user manual. But the manufacturers didn’t teach only of the safety of the propellers but the safety of the antenna as well. Because it’s an FPV race drone it might happen that sometimes you hit the antenna when you try to avoid an obstacle and then you break the antenna and game over. But the Eachine taught about this situation and they added an antenna guard as fell to the kit.

On the front side, the bind button is available to connect the FrSly D8 receiver. However, there are some bad sides as well on the build of the Aurora 90. On the left side of the insertion of a micro USB is completely blocked by the front left prop guard. If you want to insert it you’ll have to remove two screws, and then you can rotate the prop guard to access the port. On the rear, there are 4 lights not fully programmed with the LED strip capacity of betaflight.

Battery

The battery is attached to the bottom of the. We talk about a 7.4V 450mah 80C LiPo battery which is enough for 4 minutes of flight time. If that’s not enough for you, there are possibilities to buy more.

Camera

Eachine Aurora 90

The Eachine Aurora 90 has a built-in 600tvl HD Cmos 1/4 inch camera. The camera gives you a clear feed, which is not good enough to make great aerial photos but that is not even his purpose. However, with this camera, you’ll be able to see everything clearly on your headset so you can avoid possible obstacles in front of you. Also, you can adjust the angle of the camera because if a certain angle the propellers can occupy a big space in the image.

Setting up the drone

Pairing the drone to a transmitter might be a little difficult for you, especially if it’s your first time. But don’t worry if you face any trouble. In the user manual there is everything you might need to know for that. How do you know the pairing didn’t go well? You gonna hear a very loud and annoying sound from the drone. But if you did everything right you’ll hear just a pleasant “beep”. If there is still a problem don’t worry. Just access the BetaFlight with the drone and you can make a safety check. But that’s not all. You can also configure a few details in the drone. If you’ve done to much change and you want to undo all of that don’t worry. There’s always will be a Reset button for you.

Flight experience

The power of this little quadcopter is just amazing. It will fly away faster than you can imagine. All this is due to the lightweight build and the powerful brushless motors. Also, you can do flips with this aircraft if you’re good enough for that, mostly in acro mode.

Conclusion

Bot the pros and beginners will enjoy flying this drone. The learning process of how the drone works are really easy to learn so all the drone virgins can learn that easily. And the more experienced drone users will enjoy the speed of this little fella for sure. Another pro for the Aurora 90 is the fact that the OSD can be configured via BF, and it also has the latest version of BF. The only bad part is the short flight time and that you’ll face difficulties accessing the USB port on the drone. But fortunately that not a daily process so it’s not that big of a deal. Besides all this, this is a great little FPV drone, which will bring you a lot of joy if you know how to handle it.

If you’re interested in the Eachine Aurora 90 you can buy it from: Eachine, Banggood, and Amazon.
