The Aviator 8811 is a beginner drone with amazing specs. It has everything you might need from a drone, and the best part is that the drone fits among the drones that you can get under 250$. And that money will get you a well designed stylish drone which is foldable so it won’t take up much space in your room and has some good features. First of all, it can take videos in 2K and has a flight time of 20 minutes, which is pretty great for a drone like this. Also, it has some flight modes that will help you make better and smoother footage.

Build and design
The drone has a foldable design so it will be easier to transport it. In his folded version it measures 17×11.5×6.7 cm and when you unfold it measures 26x26x6.7 cm. It’s made out of strong plastic which can absorb minor crashes but you still need to be careful when flying the drone.
The drone is built with 4 Brushless motors which work really well. Under the drone, you can see stability sensors that help the drone in his positioning in the air. That sensor also works like a camera, only it has a lower quality than the prime camera.
Battery
The battery of the drone is an 11.1V 1800mAh Li-po battery and it will give the drone a 25 minute long flight time, but this can be lowered depending on your flight style and features you’re using on the drone. The drone has some LED light indicators which will tell you the level of the battery. For your safety and for the long endurance of the drone only charge the drone with the provided charger.
Controller
The range between the controller and the drone is 1 km. Which is pretty much for a beginner drone. Usually, these low-cost drones have a range of 200 or 400 meters. So with that 1 km range, you will be able to do pretty much. But the FPV range is only 400 meters. From that, you must have visual contact with the drone in order to fly it safely.
An interesting and useful thing about the controller is the fact that you don’t need the app in order to access different intelligent flight modes like Orbit mode. You will have a button for that on the controller too. Also, you have a little screen with some telemetry info about the drone.
Also, note that the app requires a phone that has 802.llac WiFi. Not all phones have such WiFi so verify that if your phone is compatible or not before purchasing the drone.
Camera
The main camera on this drone can capture videos in 2K. But in photos, it can make photos in 4K resolution which is great for a drone with a price like this. The camera has a 120° Wide-angle and it can be adjusted up or downward. The second camera which is on the bottom can record only in 720, but the main purpose of that camera is to work as a stability sensor so I don’t recommend using that camera for recording. All the footage recorded on this drone is stocked on the SD card. Which is great news.
Flight Experience
Because of the strong brushless motors, the drone will be able to fly with a speed of 20 km/h. But if you’re a beginner just keep the speed low. The drone also has GPS in it so the satellites will help him in the altitude hold and when you wish the drone to return home. You also have auto take-off and landing which could be a big help for the beginner out there.
It shouldn’t be a drone without some flight modes, here’s what this quad can do:
Follow Me Mode: In this mode, the drone will automatically follow and captures you wherever you move. You will be always in the frame at all times, easier to get complex shots, provides hands-free flying and selfie.
Gesture photo/video: it’s a fun way of taking photos and finding the fresh new thing by making gestures to record your beauty. In order to use gesture control, you will have to be within the range of 3m and the camera facing towards you. If you show a V sign with your hand it will take a photo within a few seconds, and if you show your palm it will start recording, you can also stop the recording by showing your palm to the camera.
Orbit mode: Orbit mode will command the drone to fly in a circle around a set waypoint and make sure you will get panorama pictures and video.

The Aviator 8811 Quadcopter fits all the expectations, as shown in our review. It could bring joy to both the beginners and more experienced drone pilots. It has great design features, especially with the foldable design. But the other features, like the camera, flight time and flight distance are pretty okay.
