C-FLY Dream vs DJI Spark

With the evolution of technology, the drone industry has improved a lot. Drones are getting smaller and better. The two main representatives of these small and smart drones are the C-FLY Dream and the DJI Spark drones. These are small drones that weigh under 300g and have advanced features, such as high-quality camera, intelligent features, and last but not least a  nice design. So in this article, we will have a C-FLY Dream vs DJI Spark, in which we will review their main aspects and see which one is the best?

Build and design

C-FLY

The C-FLY measures 148 X 145 X 60 mm which makes him a bit larger than the Spark. But on the other hand, it weighs 248g, which is almost 50g lighter than the Spark. None of the mentioned drones are foldable, but that’s not a problem, because they are so small they are really easy to transport. The drone comes in two color options red and white. The main body frame is a dark grey strong ABS plastic which is quite durable and can survive minor crashes.

The drone is paired with brushless motors which is a great choice.

C-FLY Dream

Spark

If you put this drone next to each other you see how similar these drones are. However, the Spark came out first, so the C-FLY is the one who copied the other. The drone measures

143×143×55 mm and measures 300g. It’s the DJI’s 2nd smallest drone after the Tello. But the Tello barely has some features, so it’s not recommended to buy. The drone is incredibly small and light, so it’s also easy to transport it. Especially with the transport bag, you get with the drone. This drone is also really reliable and strong so in the build category, they are really similar to each other.

Flight Features

C-FLY

The C-FLY Dream drone’s maximum control distance is 3 Km, which is kinda rare for a small drone like this. The controller you get with this drone has an integrated battery, so you don’t have to buy separated cell batteries. The batteries in the controller need 3 hours to fully charge and it can also provide 3 hours of work time. The drone comes with an 11.4V 1000mAh battery that will give the quadcopter 15 minutes of flight time. To charge the battery you will need 80 minutes, which is a relatively good time. The brushless motors on this drone can give this drone 20 km/h which is a pretty good max speed.

Spark

Don’t be misled by the size of the drone, because this drone is a small beast. If you put this drone in the Sport mode it can fly with 50 km/h which is incredible speed. If you fly it with such a speed, always be careful because you can cause some serious damage to the drone or others if you’re not careful enough. The drone can fly as far as 4Km far from the controller which is a huge number. However, the flight time of the Spark is not so great, it can fly up to 15-16 minutes depending on the environment. The battery in this drone is a 1,480mAh Li-Po that can be swapped at any time, so you can get multiple batteries for more flight time.

Camera

C-FLY

The C-FLY drone has a 1080P HD resolution camera, which is a bit inferior to the camera on the Spark which is 4K. However, most of the people don’t even use the 4K settings, because it’s harder to process it, and most of the PC screens can’t even play 4K videos. The C-FLY Dream has a 2-axis gimbal that supports the camera. This will make your videos nice and smooth. The C-Fly has an FPV feature, that works with 5G.

Spark

It has a 12MP camera with a 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor. This is a great camera that makes clear photos in even poor condition. The ISO ranges from 100 to 1600 for images and for videos it ranges from 100 to 3200, so it works like a professional camera. The camera is best working in 1920×1080 at 30FPS. This drone also has an FPV which is pretty much a must nowadays in every camera.

Conclusion

The build and design parts are pretty much the same. But when it comes to flight performance and the camera the DJI’s product is a bit better. But if you get the C-FLY you won’t regret it either. So always keep your eyes open and watch the prices of these drones to be sure you get the best discount.
