The Sim Too Pro Quadcopter became available for purchase in 2017, after the Zobby Zerotech model was released. The Sim Too Pro appeared in the market as a competitor, with a foldable design, and dual control mode. Besides this, other key features include a 3-axis brushless gimbal and a 4K camera, very similar to a GoPro. Of course, there are other great features that make this drone worthy of your time and money. If you want to find out which they are, make sure to keep up with our review!

Sim Too Pro: Design

Even though the Sim Too Pro might seem a little heavy, there is no need for concern, really. This is due to the foldable design, which makes the drone easy to transport basically anywhere you go. It has a simple and classic design, which combines red and black on the body, and white on the propellers. The shape is quite intricate, with both round and sharp lines, that give off a feel of elegance. Even though the camera is not incorporated, it is mounted in the belly of the drone and protected by two long propellers. You can also notice that there are 4 LED lights, one on each rotor arm. Their purpose is to help you identify the drone, especially in low light conditions.

Sim Too Pro: Hardware

The Sim Too Pro drone comes together with a 2.4GHz remote control. This supports 8 channels, 2 modes, and a 1000 meters control distance for flying. Thanks to the dual control mode that we mentioned in the introduction, this model can also be used with a GPS Smart Watch. Therefore, you can enjoy the awesome experience of hands-free operation, especially when you are outdoors, or during sport activities.

The 4K, 16 MP camera can be used with a gimbal to take amazing photographs. Also, it can record 4K 25fps / 2.7K 15fps / 1440P 30fps / 1080P 60fps / 720P 120fps videos. Nevertheless, it is compatible with the FPV experience, in a resolution of 720p. In addition, the camera has a shutter button, so you can use it even when it is not mounted on the drone, like any other camera. As for storage, the drone is able to support a 64GB SD card for expanding the storage capacity.

The built-in battery that comes with the Sim Too Pro quadcopter is a Li-Po 5200mAh one. With this power, it can provide between 20 and 25 minutes of flight time, which we consider is more than enough to be able to enjoy all of the features provided. The only downside is that the charging time is 120 minutes, so 2 hours. Even so, considering the extended flight time, this inconvenience can be overlooked.

Flight modes

Like any other respectable quadcopter, the Sim Too Pro has multiple flight modes, such as:

Auto take-off and landing

This is a great feature for beginners, as you can make the drone take off from the ground with just a press of a button. This can seem like an easy task, but if you have never done it before, there are some chances that you will lose your drone. Also, with landing, until you learn to be sophisticated enough, you might smash the drone on the ground.

Circle hovering

This feature can be used to take some amazing photos and videos. You can choose a point of interest, and the drone will fly around it at a steady altitude. Therefore, you can capture the best angles.

Follow me

Remember when we mentioned how great it can be to use the Sim Too Pro in sport activities, thanks to the Smart Watch? Well, that, paired with this feature, is a match made in heaven. Basically, the drone will follow you at a steady distance, without you having to control it. With this method, you can record some awesome videos of your best performances.

The package of the Sim Too Pro Quadcopter includes:

  • The quadcopter itself
  • Transmitter
  • GPS Smart RC Watch
  • 5200 mAh 3s Li-Po battery
  • Balance battery charger
  • USB cable
  • 1 set of propellers
  • 3-axis brushless gimbal

I would like to know…

Is the Sim Too Pro durable?

With the arms made of carbon and extra propellers, it is most likely that you will be able to enjoy it for a long time. The only issue is that the legs tend to come off quite easily, so you will want to be careful with this aspect.

Can the drone stream to your phone while only using the watch, without the remote?

Yes, it is possible.

In conclusion, the Sim Too Pro is an innovative and foldable quadcopter that is designed mostly for advanced level users. Besides the pleasure of flying and FPV, this drone will also entertain you with the amazing photos and videos that it is able to capture. If you think this might be the drone for you, you can find it on Amazon for the best deal!
