Design and build
I really like how the company moved the design of the drone to the next level. Snaptain always paid attention to the details and to have a good design, like in the case of the Snaptain S5C, which has a modern, a little batman style quadcopter which looks really dope. This initiative might be a good start for the drone if the other people like it as much as I do the design. Maybe there will be a series of these funny looking drones, I would be a great fan. The color of the drone is nice and wild, but it has it’s bad aspects as well. Like if you land it intentionally or unintentionally on grass then you will find quite hard, cuz after all this is the whole meaning of the camouflage design.
It’s also crafted with durable ABS plastic, that will be durable enough in minor crashes. But if you somehow manage to crash it be aware that you will damage the nice paintwork. Which provides the drone a great impact resistance. The Snaptain SP700 drone itself weighs just a little bit over 0.55 pound, therefore registration is required if you want to fly in according to FAA proposed regulation.
In the front, in the mouth of the creature, you will find the 2K HD camera that does a good job of delivering quality stills and videos. You can store all your footage on the microSD card that will be inserted in the drone. Having your footage stored in the drone is way better than storing it on your phone. Because if you go near to the FPV range your videos will be blurry and glitchy. But if you have your footage on your phone, that won’t happen.
The transmitter is a basic Snaptain Controller that usually comes alongside these drones. But if something works right you don’t have to change that, right? Well, this transmitter can do everything that a controller might need to do. First, it has an ergonomic touch, it will stay stable in your hand, all the buttons, switches and throttles have just the right size. And everything on the controller is really intuitive. It also has a phone holder to make your FPV experience easier. It also has some antennas on the top, but those are fake.
For instance, this Snaptain SP700 Quadcopter from the review features an impressive 1,800mAh battery that provides 18 minutes of flight time. This time depends on the style you’re piloting the drone. It also uses brushless motors that deliver lightning-fast, smooth and quieter flight performance. With a brushed motor you wouldn’t be able to do the same things. Also, due to the fact that it doesn’t generate too much friction which helps take care of the battery to provide a longer flight time.
As we are used to it, the Snaptain SP700 drone is packed with tons of features. Thanks to GPS integration, this drone comes with a lot of intelligent flight modes that might help you fly smoothe and make more awesome cinematic footage. Some of the most popular flight modes include Follow Me mode, where the drone will follow a selected object, this can be a person or a moving object as well. It also has Orbit Mode, where it will take a full 360-degree circle around a selected object. This can look very cool a video if you’re into these things. You also have other features to control the drone, like the waypoint feature, or point of interest. Both these features can be there because the drone has GPS integration, so if you look after a fun drone always keep that in mind.
Among these features that Snaptain SP700 drone has to offer some safety features that could be a big help for you, especially if you’re a beginner. These features are: Smart Return to Home, Low Battery Alarm, Failsafe Alarm, having these in your “skill sets” you can be sure you won’t break your drone due to a technical omission. Therefore even a beginner with no prior flying experience will have an easy time learning how to fly a drone.
The two most notable features are headless mode and altitude hold mode, these are for the more experienced users. Altitude hold is pretty much self-explanatory, with that you don’t have to worry about keeping the drone at a certain height. You just set it, and then you move it horizontally to get the perfect shot. Some of you might be wondering what is the headless mode. Basically, you switch the control orientation to a remote controller so that the drone flies based on the direction you are pushing the movement lever at.
Others opinion about the drone:
“I’m not professional but also not a beginner in flying drones. I have owned several cheaper drones before and I bought this because I would like to experience more advanced drones. I was attracted by the special look and its capabilities. My first impression of this drone was really good.
The packaging box is pretty cool and stylish. Take the drone out of the box, it feels very sturdy. I took it outdoors to experience whether it was worth the price. After I calibrated according to the user manual, and connected WIFI, then started the first flight with this GPS drone. ”
“Wonderful drone. A cool wrap on the fucilodge. Stands out from all the other look-alike drones. It has good power and can go pretty darn fast. It’s a bit on the bigger side but that’s a good thing the wind doesn’t bother it as much. It’s very responsive and easy to use even for a novice like me. The GPS stabilization and return home functions are a lifesaver.”
“Nice package, I longed for a GPS drone for a long time. My first GPS drone did not disappoint me. Great drone with high quality. It is easy to set up and control, not as difficult and complicated as I thought. I paired and calibrated according to the instructions in the manual, and it was done in a few minutes. The remote and the drone both are highly responsive. After connecting WIFI, you can complete many interesting functions through your phone, like follow me, circle fly and tap fly, etc. The FPV via WIFI transmission is really clear and smooth”
The Snaptain SP700 Quadcopter from our review comes at the same level as any other Snaptain drone. Which is a good thing. But this one has a way better design than the others from the manufacturer. This drone will have all you need from a quadcopter, it has a decent flight time, a great controlling range and some cool and useful intelligent flight options.

You list prop guards and spare props in the box. I’m not seeing those. I was told there are no prop guards for The SP700. And I don’t see any spare props in the box.
